We all love to travel but some remote destinations or exclusive resorts might be more complicated to reach. Thus, choosing a private jet charter is stress-free travel in a fraction of the time.

In our last blog article, we explored a few very exclusive destinations in the Caribbean. Today we are going to take you to some remote places in the rest of the Americas that are best accessed privately by air.

Lanai, Hawaii

Lanai is a very small virtually untouched island, a private paradise owned by billionaire Larry Ellison and favoured by many celebrities. It is also sometimes called “Pineapple Island” as a result of its former use as a pineapple plantation.

The place is very friendly. As soon as you get here, you will immediately start to feel like a local. There are dozens of private beaches with old shipwrecks, quad bike, ATV and horse-riding trails, a golf course, an extensive spa – all reminders of other larger Hawaiian Islands.

The airport only handles private aircraft and the only other way to reach it is by a ferry. By using a private aircraft, you add at least two relaxing days to your vacation by avoiding commercial delays and transfers.

Hamptons, New York

The iconic Hamptons stretch along the south shore of the east coast of Long Island. It is a popular summer and weekend destination for affluent New Yorkers. Wall Street bankers meet celebrities, young managers, and secretaries here. They all come here to enjoy the white sandy beaches, lobster rolls and local steamed clams, all to the sounds of home party music.

During the season, the best New York clubs open their branches here, and several magazines are published in Hamptons only throughout the summer.

Several airports will easily cope with the smooth arrival of private planes and helicopters.

Nimmo Bay, Canada

The Nimmo Bay Wilderness Resort is located deep in the heart of the Great Bear Rainforest and has been chosen by National Geographic as one of its unique lodges of the world. There are only nine two-bedroom cabins accessible by helicopter making this place very exclusive. People come here for wellness, connection with nature and a spectacular culinary experience.

The region provides unlimited access to kayaking, whale watching, grizzly and black bear spotting, and other adventures. Nimmo Bay has several private spots in spectacular settings (including a glacier), where you can enjoy a picnic with fishing rods, kayaks, and a crackling fire. There is also a floating dock with a sauna, located a 20-minute kayak ride from the resort (or a 2-minute boat ride).

Amangiri Resort, Utah

Utah’s remote and peaceful Amangiri is one of the most luxurious resorts you will find in the United States.

This place and its views are different from what you are used to. It is raw and you may feel like being on another planet which might be the perfect type of indulgence with everything that’s currently happening in the world. The resort offers physical workouts such as yoga or hiking as well as spiritual healing.

The closest airport is in Page, Arizona approximately 40 kilometres away from where you can be picked up by the hotel’s driver. If you prefer to make the transfer easier, quicker, and more fun, you can take a private jet charter to Las Vegas and from there a helicopter directly into the resort.

Islas Secas, Panama

Islas Secas (“dry islands”) is an archipelago consisting of sixteen untouched volcanic islands and is home to the Islas Secas Resort & Lodge. If you are a supporter of sustainable tourism, then the resort’s strong ethos of environment friendly tourism will spark your interest. Three quarters of the archipelago are untouched and left undeveloped and the resort itself is fully powered by natural energy while still being able to offer a world-class luxury and adventure.

This resort located on the wild Pacific coast is accessible by charter flight from Panama City.

Lake Tahoe, Nevada & California

Lake Tahoe is the largest alpine lake in North America and lies on the border of California and Nevada. The freshwater lake has a wonderful setting in the Sierra Nevada mountains and looks beautiful in every season. No wonder it is one of the most famous lakes in California and one of the most popular. Its water is crystal clear!

You can cruise Lake Tahoe, go kayaking or paddleboarding, take a boat out, go parasailing, jet skiing, scuba diving, or fishing. You can also hike, bike, or ride along the edge of the lake. The Sand Harbor Beach is great for swimming.

At least four airports near Lake Tahoe can handle private charter aircraft.
